What is EPS ?

EPS: Lightweight, Strong, and a Master in Insulation!

EPS, or expanded polystyrène, is more commonly known as styrofoam. Due to the many different names used across Europe, this versatile material has been unified under a single name: Airpop.

What makes EPS so unique? It consists of millions of tiny beads, each forming an ultra-fine, closed-cell structure. Surprisingly, EPS contains only 2% to 6% polystyrene, while the remaining 94% to 98ù is pure air, safely enclosed within the cells.

Thanks to this smart composition, EPS excels as an outstanding thermal insulator. It is lightweight, easy to handle, completely free of CFCs and HBCD, and resistant to moisture and mold. Additionally, EPS is strong, dimensionally stable, and highly durable.

With its efficient production process and unique material properties, EPS is one of the most cost-effective and high-performance insulation materials on the market !
